That is the point I was trying to get across. That is a good analogy.

thats cool, but those are def. homemade tracks...and they have WAY less rolling resistance than any of the modern track systems.....get a pic of a new one and post it next to a pic of that...BIG difference....

If they were built for a trike they proubly won't be so hard on the \R's engine and tranny.....

I don't know the company. I think the pic was posted on the boards a few years ago. Maybe someone with old mags could scan any tests they did on it?

i like the thought of them on a big red personally, even on the pre 250es, on the hard tail 200es it would be perfect, plenty of weight, good power in high gear, all the power you would need in low, the only thing i would do is put like a differentiol controll on it like Kawi had on their prairie 250, wher you can go from single wheel to both wheel, i think alot of you have a misconseption of the track as it is, their not ment for high speeds or mx, thei are ment for work, slow ruff trails, and traction, jell putting them on and r would be like puting a slow plow on a honda civic, no damn sense
    Im just a racing redneck.

Hey guys I had a wonderful Idea. If you want to go through the deep snow at high speeds(25mph +) buy one those wonderful little things called a snow mobile. won't have to worry about tracks being to heavy.

^^^ well why don't I just by a damn airplane so I don't even have to touch the snow?
The reason I suggested this was because it would be unique, and funny. I was just curious to see how one would go... And if I wanted to take the easy was out I'd just be satufied with my 500 Polaris Indy, but no!!! I need a winter trike!!

Tracks on a trike are a horrible idea. Your not going to be able to steer that well, your going to be taxing your motor way too hard, and your still going to sink in anything soft. You'd probably be better off with a tandem setup like the Poolaris 6x6's outfitted with paddle style tires. It would be a heck of a lot cheaper to do too.

paddle tires arn't a bad thought. Do they sell them in 20x11-10 though? that and just mount a ski to the front wouldn't be that hard to do. Only proublem with paddle tires is if you ride them on anything hard you would trash them....
