    new trike tomorrow, some questions..

alright finally, getting the 85 200x tomorrow or the next day, my friend has a set of ITP rims with 18" holeshots on them for a blaster, will a blasters hub fit on the 200x axle, cuz im pretty sure a blasters bolt pattern is different than a 200x??

and if not what are some good recommendations for trail, loose gravel, and a little mud, not much though.. i like the flat track look and im guessing they slide well, which i find very fun..

im friggin pumped for a sport machine though. thanks for the help, and any other recommendations for the trike is greatly appreciated, im going to get a DG RCM exhaust (all i can think of for accessories so far), and am going to have to check it out cuz it burns oil, but other than that im happy..

    A blaster is 4/100 and a 85 200X is 4/110 and I'm quite sure the hubs won't fit either.

Check out ebay as there is usually nice tire&wheel combos on for your machine.

I wouldn't go smaller than 20's on a 83-85 200x. They bottom out pretty easy even with 22's so with 18's you end up smacking the bottom of the frame on the ground a lot. Not to mention the low clearance in the back. Broke my skid plate mounts off pretty quick when I had 18's on my old one.

i liked the look of 18's because the 200x is so small itself. He's right on ground clearance though. A good aftermarket swingarm skid is a good idea. I got turf tamers because I liked the look. Good looking, good quality tire at a cheap price. I got mine from Rocky Mountain.

I had these Maxxis All Traks on my 200X that I once had and thought they performed well in all conditions. They are on the heavy side though for a 200 but they wear like iron and you can slide them too.

I like the "heavt duty" looks of the tread. I myself prefer to stick with 22's because of ground clearence + I like the larger look also.

im probably gonna stick with 22's because we do have alot of rocks and bottoming out would be an issue, those all tracks dont look bad, i hate balloony looking tires.

you dont like balloony tires but you want 22" tires on 8" rims???? I'd go with 20's. Like I said my turf tamers were like $42 a piece at rocky mountain.

I'm sure you can find the holeshots alot cheaper somewhere else. I think I paid around $70 a piece. I was very suprised about the wieght diffrence between the holeshots and aluminum rims compared to the stock rims and tires. theres a huge diffrence. Oh, rocky mountian atv catalog has them listed 20x11x8 for $54

There's 3 different kinds of holeshots. Regular holeshots two others with letters after them like XC or XMC or something. The tread is very slightly different on them but the ones with letters are more expensive. Check RockyMountain ATV. Their prices weren't bad for the standard ones.
