Look at the classified section on this site and go to the link posted by TECATE CRAZE posted 5 days ago and the pics are there. I just got the tank and I am very pleased with it.

I was going to buy that tank a couple months ago. Never could get the money together.

    Congrats!

Airmancam, thanks for the compliments on the R. That's part of the reason I couldn't get the KXT tank. I need to finish my R and get my 70 running.

Thumbs up Jeb, you have my dream trio......

    Hey Jeb,
I now have 2/3 of your trio.
MAN, is that picture of them all together cool.
An '86 T-3 would be the "crown jewel" for sure.
Those trikes are few and far between and finding parts sound like the search for the Holy Grail at times!

Congrats on the R, Z and Tecate.

Hey TECATE CRAZE! I definitely understand you selling it. I appreciate you giving me all the chance you did!

Yeah, I can't wait to see pics of it too. It's going to a good home after-all.

Thanks MO350X! Run an add in your local paper for an 86 KXT. Never know who might call.

    I've thought about that, Jeb.
But my wife is still reeling over me dragging that Tri-Z home.
I have to time my purchases strategically.

I'd prefer not to pay Ebay prices for one, anyway.

There are 3 86-7s on ebay right now. The first two will probably go around 700-1000, the last one will go 2500ish. Keep your eye open, i found mine on this forum and it really didn't take to long, just had to drive 16 hours round trip to get it.

The one being sold by Deer atv on ebay -- He bought it this year from CA. I was the number two bidder on that auction. It went for $2950 so I dont know if he made that his reserve (probably doesnt want to lose money on it). The last nice one went for 2500.00. I guess we'll see

    Sweet Tecate

I really like that you went the restoration way, those shrouds and Headlight cover are great. Is it possible for you to recreate the Vented # Plate for the 84-85 Tecate? That would be so cool and I would buy one.

Yessir, Orangecnty, that is a beauty.
Took everything I had to stop drooling on the keyboard.
    I'm gonna watch that one.
$2500+ is way out of my league right now.
But a man can dream, can't he!??!

It is possible. I would need to see how many were willing to buy them so I could figure if I would break even or not. I already looked into making the 86-87 T-3 gas tanks, but it would cost me about 20,000 bucks to have the blow mold made, then the price of the tank.I dont think at 200-250.00 per tank that I could sell enough to break even. I would need about 300 buyers to make that happen. The # plate would be much cheaper to make, but like I said there has to be enough demand. I will check it out though. Thanks
