i was just curious to how many parts off the 400ex will fit the 350x, the motors are pretty close the headers, carb, cdi box, ac regulator, Kicker, and oil cooling "exterior" is all the same, Do you think the coil or the pulse generator off a 400 would work on the 350? beause mine is shot

I don't know for sure but I doubt it. One is RFVC and the other has the forked rocker arm.
I do know a header from a 1982 XR500R (forked rocker arm) and a 1983 XR500R (RFVC) are not interchangeable. I'm sure if you wanted to bend around on it you could get it on there as long as it doesn't hit the frame. Waste of time if you ask me. Probably have to customize the rest of the exhaust then. On the 2 bikes I mentioned earlier it's pretty much impossible to get them to interchange.
