Best tire for tecate in the sand for drag racing?

And what size do you guys think. I am thinking 21x8x11 and I think I like the gecko sand tires. What do you guys recommend?

Gecko's are junk for drag racing, get 22x11x8 9 paddle skat trak haulers.

Gecko's are good for all around sand dune riding, but like 84kxtTecate said, go with the haulers , they are the best tire for sand dragging on the market.

I agree. Haulers or taller haulers. If you dont have an extended swingarm though you will probably flip it at the line, even with a stock motor. Your tire size sounds OK but that also depends on motor mods, and gearing also. Good Luck, and watch that front end!

    Haulers!
& not just because they are a "straight blade", which does hook up best in straight line use, but that they physicaly weigh a fraction of what the Geckos do. Less rotational mass = more free HP for DRAG'n!!!

I agree, Haulers are best for draggin,... but...

Geckos are coming out with 10 paddle design now also. I had the 8 paddles on my 86, but they are not for draggin at all. the 10 paddle geckos Im guessing would be comparable to an 8 paddle hauler.... except the weight difference. Something you might look into if you have a tight budget, because Skat Traks aint for the poor boys. Especially when you start looking at super buff/ultra light 12+ paddle tires.
