I'm assuming the little tab off your hub is broken. Why don't you take a picture of it.????...Your 200X hub should be similar to my 350X hub.. look at the first pic below... see the tab? That goes in the notch in that ring. Those pics should also help you figure out how it comes off/on. Once it's off, that ring against the hub will come off so you can grease/oil it up good. The 82R is similar idea, but has the old school metal hub instead of the cast hub. I included 3 pics of that for you too.
Maine Triker.... The tach attaches to the coil and that "extra wire" behind the headlight. Those darn left hand gearboxes.... I got a couple of them here.... 200X or 83/84R I guess...
They look like the 350X ones but turn the other direction. Now you said something about modifying the display... that won't work... only way you can use a 200X gearbox on a 350X is to turn the forks around backwards...not that I'd ever stoop that low to make it work.
