    carb settings

    Howdy Folks,
My trike is having problems again, as it will idle fine but it won't accelerate at all. When I give it gas, it bogs down and backfires. The plug fouls in about 15 minutes. I know I am running rich but I can't figure out how. I've adjusted my carb till the cows come home and no luck. My valves are at spec clearance and my float is set right. Any ideas? Thanks!

Yes, I just cleaned my carb. I used b-12 spray cleaner and blew it out with compressed air afterwards. Unless I blew a seal in the carb with the air, I can't figure out why it runs rich. Thanks!

Unless you totally disassemble you carb and put it into a can of carb dip, often you only dislodge junk in your carb and then jam it into the passages when you put air into it. You can buy a can of carb dip for $12 dollars or so at one of the car repair stores and you should get a carb rebuild kit and put it back to stock specs when you go and start it up and tune the carb idle and air\fuel mixture from there.
