Red face 86' 200S engine transplant into 185S

i have a 200S engine that i want to teardown andf rebuild (blew the rings)

i know a 200s engine will fit but was there any developmental differences between the years? (the 185S is an '83 and the 200s is an '86)

if i teardown and rebuild im going to get a complete gasket set an oversized piston and something along the lines of an XR200 cam swap but i was wondering if the XR200 valves can be swapped into the 200S engine and if the cam has to be for the same year engine? i also was thinking about new clutch shoes and heavyduty springs

will the oversize piston, XR200 cams and valves make a big enough performance gain over stock to be worth it??

any suggestions on an oversized piston??? i want to keep reliability and be able to run it for a while and pro-x piston and rings are like 75 bucks but what size should i go? .40 over or bigger?

also thanks for any help you guys

not sure what the cam will do but if you use a 85 or older 200X piston it will make a very large difference. 200x engines are higher compression and make lots more power with the same basic set-up. I dont think there were any changes from 83 to 86 on the 185 and 200 auto engines.
