    Boyesen rad valve for 250r

How do you guys like the boyesen rad valve in your 250r's? I noticed that the reed block and intake track are all once piece, is it the same lenght as the stocker or have you had to use a reed spacer to make it line up?

well the intake tube on the rad valve is a little longer plus you get the rubber to adapt the carb to the rad valve,it should bolt right up.go with the v force setup though,it rips

get the rad valve for a 86-98 cr 250r if you are gonna use a bigger carb, the low end is incredible with that rad valve. v-force reeds are mid to top end, boysteen are low to mid. I'd get a rad valve myself.

The CR boot is shorter isn't it? I'd need a reed spacer to be able to use the stock air box tube correct?

The dude at the local shop told me the CR one is identical to the regular 250R one except the angle of the intake is different and it comes with the bigger boot. If you run a bigger carb you can just get the bigger boot. They're interchangable. I bought one for like 7 bucks or something.

i don't think the angle is any differrent.when i had the entire cr motor in my 86r the carb and boots all lined up.i don't think you will need a spacer.are you running a bigger carb?

I have the radvalve on my 86R and highly recommend it. I noticed more snap off the bottom and also better acceleration all the way through the mid range. even seems to idle better.

I had to put a reed spacer on my bike, but also I'm using a aftermarket cylinder.
