Need some info on this 3wheeler.

    VIN # JH3TB0505DC201884
Decal on other side of gooseneck is partially visible and states "1983 MODEL".
I was told it was an 83 200 Big Red.
Here's what I do know: It is chain drive, no reverse, and a LOT stronger than my 185.

I bought it from my neighbor for 400 bucks. Runs and shifts great and has new tires. Very tight machine, probably reconditioned recently.
    I'll post pics soon.

I see in your signature you got 200es, it's actually a 200e. Great machine, i have one & love it. If I have one complaint, it is the way they chromed the front forks. They are all one piece uppers & when the chrome finish wears off you have to repace it all as one unit. The rust that soon develops then will tear out your fork seals in no time.

Oops. Yea I like this one. Loads of power compared to my 185s. The chrome is in great shape now and I'll keep them waxed to prevent rust. Thanks for the warning.
I did notice that someone removed the front brake completely. But the rear brake works great. I also think it has aftermarket tank, seat and fender set.

    Well here's a pic.

That's a regular ATC200 ... not a Big Red. The 200E had electric start and a H-L subtranny... had a built in headlight guard and front and rear racks.

Nice lil utility setup you got going though!

Thats odd I had a 82 200 and a 83 185S and the S would blow its doors off. Just the regular 185 was slower than the 200 but the 185S was the fastest. How times have changed, I remember when that 185S (80 or 81 when it came out if memory serves me correctly) was the fastest 4 stroke on the market lol. I had never laid eyes on a 200X untill 83 and i thought it was a beast , then my buddy let me ride his 82R I almost totaled it in the first 25 feet darn twist throttle

The 200 probaly seems to have more power, because I see in your sig that you call, your 185 "ol' smokey". It probaly burns a lot of oil, caused by a worn out piston, cylinder, or rings, and its losing compression, so you are losing performance.

I think the 185s should go faster than the 200, because it weighs way less.

You got that right. Ol Smokey is in need of an overhaul pretty bad. The 200 also has an after market exhaust.

the 185 model was only the first year of manufacturing. All the rest of the years they were 185s
