i need info on 225 dx

hi i got a yamaha 225dx thats currently not running. it has spark, fresh gas, fresh oil, and some compression. i cant figure out what is wrong with it. i would appreciate it if anyone has any ideas for me to try. thanx

have you shot a little either into the plug hole or the intake into the carb and tried to start it ,,,

yes i have tried putting gas in the spark plug hole and it gets better compression but it still wont start

i am probbly gonna pick up one tomorrow i heard about. it needs something (?) cuz it's blowing oil somewhere around the motor.
but anyway about your trike ,,, it sounds like you have been around enough motors ,,, timing maybe ???
i know honda trikes well but ain't got a clue as to what lines up with what for timing on a yamaha ,,, BUT ,,, there are people on here that do.
