Yup. Wait 89 days, 23 hours, 59 mins and 59 secs before you leave it, so then he won't have a chance to notice it in time!
Or did he already leave you a positive feedback?

He didn't leave me any feed back yet. I bid on a XL350 for my buddy. He paid $600 for it which was way too much but I have a licensed XL500R and he wanted something similar and these bikes are tough to find with a title so he bought anyway so we could ride this summer.
Look at the auction. The guy coveniently forgot to mention the magnisium side case was corroded away to the point the clutch really doesn't work, dead, battery, bent rims, no air filter, very hard starting, oil leak on rocker cover (was cleaned off), and it says the tank needs repaired. We took the tank somewhere, it was so rusty it ended up getting about 1000 pin holes in it and it's not repairable.
This is the second bike we've bought from this guy and I'm sure we would buy more. I sent him a very profession email, nicely explaining all this and he won't even email me back. All we were really wanting from him was some help with the replacement of the side case.

how exactly does corrosion on a case keep the clutch from working? big 4 strojkes are notoriously hard to start btw and an oil leak? what is the gasket $4?
You can do that OR give a rebuttel(which you have 50 "characters"too explain) how wrong he is and maybe ebay will withdraw the negative he left on you!! Ebay needs too crack down on some sellers!!!! cuz there is Alot of bad ones.. I bought a carb onetime with a pic like it was brand new,So I bid it way up when I got it it was a dirty piece of crap, well it worked But... wasnt what I bid on..Originally Posted by Maine_Triker
Ebay won't withdraw feeedback so don't depend on ebay. Try calling and talking to him man to man, you will probably get better results.
you can kinda tell if your going to have trouble when the seller spends more time on when and how you can pay them than the description of the item for sale.
I have six 500cc 4 strokes and they start fine. My XL500R starts with on kick every time, this think takes like 10-15 some times. And like I said the only thing we would like some help with is the side case.Originally Posted by NICKG
The cluch cable attaches to the flywheel side of the engine. It pulls an arm forward which turns a shaft which pushes on a rod that leads to the clutch to disengage it. The shaft that the arm attaches to has to rotate in the case, the case is corroded away the the shaft pushes out of place and away from the clutch instead of disengaging it.

Well I totally forgot to leave him feed back before 90 days and it was removed from my list of items that I can leave feed back for but I just came across an old link I had to the acution and it still worked after 4 months. I left him negative feed back so he left me negative feed back, what an ass.

I"m in that situation now..
I bought a bunch of stuff from " A1atvs " one of the items was for a rear diff for my SX.. the description said " Good condition, but bearings needs replacing "... after 2 weeks of waiting for an invoice and numerous e-mails.. i get a reply and an invoice.. 3 weeks later i get the parts..
The diff is full of rust, mud, crud.... the splines on it are nearly gone.. ( the one item i wanted on this was for it to have good splines.. i did not care about the bearings.. ) etc...
long story short.. i paid next to nothing for all the parts.. so negative feedback is kind of a double edged sword... he deserves bad feedback..... but has 1000 feedback.. i only have 7.

Any decent respectable person would refund some of your money. I bought a Trike that was misrepresented on E-Bay. After I got it home and looked it over I e-mailed him and let him know I wasnt happy. He refunded me some of the money and I was happy. Left good feedback after that. I hate that alot of people will leave bad feedback because you did. How can you get bad feedback when you were the buyer. If you paid on time and all that you shouldnt recieve bad Feedback.

I wouldn't worry too much about negative feedback, just put in your responce and you'll be fine. I've left a few negatives and to be honest I could care less if somebody wants to give one back. It just seems like a negative or 2 doesn't stop anybody from buying from you anymore, it's more like when you have a boat load of them. Still blows, but it's not worth worring about IMO.

I wouldn't worry about it to much, but it does suck. I looked at what he wrote and what you responded back with, and that is crap that he can outright lie and theres nothing you can do.
The first words in my reply to the negative feedback would be.
"DISHONEST SELLER ...Example of retalitory feedback" Then follow with your explanation
I think some people would understand if they saw this in your feedback and think that you are the victim because many people are fearful of the feedback retaliation messing up there record.
