    Exclamation Tri-Z - Banshee Parts Swap

    Will the clutch and friction plates and springs off a banshee or any other quad fit on a Tri-Z?

    I just got OEM plates and springs for the Tri-Z priced out...

    7 Friction Plates --> $160.65

    6 Clutch Plates --> $89.70

    6 Springs --> $23.70

    Total --> $274.05

    Thats way to much. If the Banshee or some other quads plates would fit, I would imagine they would be a lot cheaper. Has anyone tried this?

    Ordering OEM parts under another OEM model will not differ in cost because they use the same Yamaha part number. The only thing that interchanges is a couple of dirt bikes, dont remember which ones but I was thinking it was a WR model. BIkebandit has OEM stuff for less than half the dollar amounts you mentrioned. Dennis Kirk sells YTZ250 fiber kits. EBC fibers cost $65.00, and spings are $10.00. The Vesrah kit is $91.00. Metal plates last a long time and unless you know they are bad I would just keep them. Im not thrilled about aftermarket clutches, but TriZ clutches last a very long time and youd probably be fine. I wouldnt use either EBC or Vesrah in a 250R clutch eater. Vesrah used to have springs, but I see they are no longer listed.

    My metal plates are warped more than spec. My clutch is dragging when you put it in first and try to push it forward, I think that because the plates are warped, this is why it drags.
