OK lets see

All new factory honda plastics and decals $600
Factory rear wheels if you can find them ==Usually go for $150.--
3 new factory tires and mounting $200
Stripping powdercoating all parts $400-500 this needs alot even the axle
Acquiring all the missing factory parts Grab bar tool box silencer pipe $400
Trying to do something with that dirty motor $50
Bearings as he mentioned $100
New bolts, switches other misc $200

I typed this quick I'm sure there is more but that "not much to make it new" just turned into about 2200.00

I was looking at that also but I wasnt sure of the photo. It has an 85 seat, I couldnt see the swingarm/brake assembly to determine 85 or 86. Looks like a 86 headlight and shroud decals

Oh the seat is ripped Ad $100 to find a mint 86 seat (total now $2300). And if this is a mix mosh of 85/86 parts that make that last line even more ridiculous.

sounds like it needs abit of work to even make it rideable, but "new", this guy falls into the same catagory as the last post I put in this forum. Well, its a 86 frame, pegs, headlight, carb, swingarm, it looks to be a 86, but the black motor???? a front end beating kit will cost $50, rear $50 at the least, and the motor won't kit over???? that won't be cheap to fix. that is a 85 seat, looks like a intersted mosh of parts.

Nah-- I always figure the public will speak to him loud and clear the last day of the auction when he doesnt sell it. Even if he does sell it it wont be for that much $$ Not even close to the $$ amount that a real one that is close to new would actually go for. I dont think it would take over $2000 to fix into a rideable machine but thats definetly what it would cost to make it look "new" again. Thats a fairly conservative estimate. Its definetly just someone trying to be a slick salesman and hopefully most people wont fall for it.
