Types of sandpaper ?

Whats the difference between the normal wet sandpaper, emery cloth (black also) & croucus cloth (a sort of red color)?

I also have (don't know why) this grey-white colored "Tri-M-Ite" Fre-Cut paper and have no idea where I got it or what it's used for. It says also on back "A wt. open coat"

While we are talking sand paper can you dry sand plastic too or just wet sand?

Sanding:

Use wet up to 1500 grit, at 1500, go with dry sanding. This technique worked fine on my 350x.


As far as the kinds of sandpaper I can't help you, I used 3M.
Oh, even though I dry sanded on the 1500, I still used wet dry sandpaper.

you wet sand plastic so the sandpaper doesn't get all cloged and you can clean it off.
