In my opinion stroker kits that shorten the rod suck. You loose the leverage on the crankshaft. Your rod angle also becomes less favorable which can cause extra wear on the piston, piston slap and oil consumption. I've done tons of research on strokers since I built one for my Mustang. My car actually has more stroke and longer rods than stock if you can figure that out.
Sounds like the Powroll kit would be a great choice, since they don't shorten the rod. I wouldn't think it would shorten the life of your bottom end at all, but that's just opinion. I would go for it.
