185s Horse Power? and electric starter?

Hello: Does anybody knows what is the HP on a 185cc Honda engine.
Also I'm trying to install an electric starter on it, but don't know what kind of clutch for the starter to use or how to install it? Anybody with help will be greatly appreciated. All the other parts (battery, solenoid, starter switch, starter motor, and starter gears and chain are ready but can figure out the
    starter cluth. Thanks

From what I've gathered, the 180cc "185S" has the same horsepower as the 192cc "200S" @ 10. The motors are virtually identical, 12cc's isn't going to make any measurable difference and the lobes have the same durations. As an interesting note -The 185S mill has higher compression than the 200S version. I've read some ad's from the time state that the "new" 200 motor has "higher torque than last years model". Can't help you on the starter question without being there though.

The easiest way to put an elc start on it is taking a whole complete 84-86 200m motor and putting it in, or the left case, starter, battery....ect it would be a PITA to mount the battry mind you.

Either 200M or 200E big red.. pre-84( 84 was electric start but shaft drive.... ES )

To put electric start on a 185 would be interesting to say the least.
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

I have both the ATC 185s and ATC 200 both from the same year 1983. When run side by side they both are neck and neck but the 200 has loads more low end where the 185s has more top end.

Yah the 200m is way slower than the 185s, i know i ride them daliy. I can smoke a 200m any day with the 185s. But the 200m can pulle some serious crap.
