    Can't believe it stayed running.

Went riding today, here is a couple of pics of my brother in law in the creek with his 85 Big Red.
I thought for sure it would have drowned out on him, but no, it stayed going even with the water coming over the seat a few times.

Hello.New guy here. Those are great pictures .My dad and I had two 1984 BIG REDs.We used them in the Everglades and frequently had water over the seat.Don't know how they ever stayed running but I can never remember being stranded.Awesome bikes.

As long as the water wasn't over the breather tubes (which I believe are at the highest point on the frame, under the gas tank), he shouldn't have had a problem.

the factory snorkel is dam good on the big reds. puts the intake nice and high especially if you water wheelie some. I put a snorkel on mine above the factory and I've never once really needed it.

I have had to cross creeks that were so deep that i got off and my 200s was floating on top of the water. And the creek was about five feet deep, i found out they float like a boat.
