    Pics from Unadilla today

Today I attended my first ATV national. The race was at the famous Unadilla MX track in central,ny. I've been watching bikes race here since the late 80's and I've never seen anything as fast as the pro quads I saw today. The fastest lap time was 2 min and 20 seconds.Ricky Carmichaels fastest lap time at Unadilla is 2 min and 38 seconds. The machines these guys ride are insane too, only the best of the best in parts and mods. John Natalie led moto1 until he crashed or had mech probs( i couldnt see from where I was at).Travis Spader won moto1. Moto 2 was all Jeremiah Jones. That guy knows how to git-r-done.Here's some pics form the races.

Here's a pic of the landing of the "SkyJump". Most guys were doing 100' with no problem.A few guys landed near the 150' mark.

Wikipedia "All Terrain Vehicle" Definition excerpt
Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

The drop into "gravity cavity" is about 75-80 feet. The drop off in the back section is close to 100' from take off to landing. As for the start, anyone that wants to be in the middle of that mess is crazy, lol

ya its not right. check the link. Carmicheal ran a 2:09 lap with an avg of 2:13. I love the quads but if ya think they will EVER outrun the bikes you need to just say no. http://home.ama-cycle.org/prorace/ra...ar=2005&type=P
