Your weak spark is probably caused by your exciter coil going bad ( most common problem on 83-85 185-200 cc Honda motors ). Start by testing the exciter coil ( part of the stator ). It's the black with red striped wire coming from the stator. 215-240 ohms is Good, the lower the number the weaker the spark.

This is typical of a teardown / rebuild that distubs a bad connector, my Honda 250R did this (orange spark, real hard to start) due to a loose pin in the big CDI connector.

    Or a loose ground terminal.

    Or leaking intake valve.

You didnt do anything in engine work to cause a CDI to fail.

Put a timing light on it, use a powered light running off a car battery or 12V battery charger.
Check the timing at idle, then whack the throttle and see what the timing does. Also, shine the timing light into the carburetor inlet, if theres a blowback from a leaking valve, the timing light will show the fuel coming backwards.
