just picked up this trike last week and owner had no idea what he was selling told me it was an 86 but yet its an aircooled 250r so i know its at least an 83-84 either way here is the vin# any info would be great thanx

thanks a lot for clearing that up for me. now are there any significant changes from 83 to 84 or are most parts interchangable.
My knowledge base is in the 85-86 R's, but I'm pretty sure the 83's & 84's are basically one in the same with minimal differences.

from what ive heard the 83's make around 24 horsepower, and the 84's have 27ish. basicaly the same bike, but the 84 had a few minor improvements.
yeah i just picked up the clymer manual and the only real difference is in the shock link and swing arm just relocation of the grease fittings and all. froom what i saw in the manual also the engines are the same not sure of any improvements made .
