    tri z guys

    I have a chance to get an 85 tri z for $400 and I was wondering what the differences were with the 85 to the 86. suspension, motor, everything. i want to get either a 86 z, r , or tecate but this price is right. 1 other thing, the man selling it says it has an electric fuel pump on it, some performance mod. Has anybody heard of doing this? Thank you

    Bigger forks and the 6 speed tranny are the most notable differences (there's a bunch of little things though).

    $400 is a screaming deal for a complete Z though, even if it needs work. I'd jump on it.
