Whats the difference between the 660 r and yfz 450

What is the difference between these two bikes and please get into detail because iam trying to figure out why the 450 is so much faster then the 660 and i hope the 50 lb difference isnt that big of a deal. What allows the 450 to be faster then the 660 such as carb, cam, compression ratio, stroke etc i just need to know.

first off you dont have to run race gas in the 450 i dont know where you heard that. secound look at my reply post on your first post about making a raptor faster. I seee this first had where i ride and ive had the same problem untill my raptor got totaled out by another person acting stupid! So i solved the problem and got a SHEE! nop 450 where i ride can touch it. its a stock bore, stock carb bike that pulls about 65 HP! All it has is a nice port and polish +6 advance on the timing and a nice set of in-frame CPI pipes and slip on K&N's with a +6 swinger. Will hit about 100mph with the gearing it has now. its alittle sluggish of the line but when the powerband hits CCCCCCCCYYYYYYYAAAAA!!!!!!!!

with a 686 you can get up to around the mid 70's if its tuned right. ive seen stock bore raptors with a damn good port job and your usual bolt ons hit close to 60 hp. your normal 686 bike runs in the mid 60's though

the 740 is alot faster and from what i hear isnt that much more like only 400-500 more. ive saw a 740 run also and it is the fastest raptor ive ever seen. not shure on the HP rating though. i would think around 80 or so though.

Is the 740 kit reliable or is it going to ruin my bike in a couple of years or something. What is the best kit for reliability and cost and also what manufacturer makes a good kit?

if * cant beat a 250 in the dirt now then * have a problem. and the 686 should kill one. Id go with craycraft. look it up its like craycraftracing or something like that they in texas so youd have to send your motor out.

Just keep in mind when ever you add more power you will lose reliabilite, I think the 740 kit is awesome but i really dont think it will last to long before grenades the whole motor, and with the power it makes youll probably throw a rod right threw the case.

80 hp,,,your on crack, 60 is closer to it, as for the big bore's after the 686 the transmissions tend to **** out on you with the massive top ends, stay the HELL away from the 770 its a ticking time bomb,
