on a 250x...doe sthe whole engine have to come out to get the head off? i need to rebuild, so we got it apart, but it wont come out b/c the frame is in the way. help please

If you take the top cap off and then the base of the head it should come out without pulling the motor. I have done this before.

the top cap is what i cant get off. sorry...i dont know what all these parts are called lol
the top cap wont come up far enough to be off the studs before it hits the frame

On the one I did it barely fit, but it did come off. You might try lossening all the motor mount bolts and see if you can get the motor to shift enough to pull the head.
