Question Carb jetting and settings for '86/87 250SX?

    Hey folks,

Does anyone know the combination of jet and needle sizes and possibly air screw setting for an '86 or 87 250SX?

    No, I don't have an '86 or 87.
I have been hearing that the later-model carb. settings have a bit of a cold-start "fix" built in due to a fatter jetting combination.

Thanks for any and all help.

In the 85 the whole fix is simple a few thousandths larger jet. I forget which jet but it's the pressed in jet.

In 87 carbs that same jet threads in. The 87 also has a different choke plunger and needle altogether.

The 85's work just as well as the 87 as long as the jet is swapped or opened up.

I use to run all 87 SX carbs but now I run all 350X carbs with no starting or hesitation problems.

How involved is this and what is there to gain from it ? ( negligable or worth it ? )
