We paid $450 to have the R brought up here from Memphis... I thought that was a pretty good price. Shipping is hard to get up here... have to go with local trucking companies.

It's definitely a nice machine. Slight bend on the grab bar and the right tank decal is scraped up. But, still in great shape if someone were looking for an air fooler.

Yeah, That crack is terrible --I dont think this 250r is worth anything with the crack in the fender.

I would suggest no one bid on this machine and waste their hard earned money

Maine Triker apparently you are correctt the ebay pics are no good. I 'll take some new pics and post when it arrives. He just kept talking about how clean it is and If i like the pics I'll be even more impressed when it arrives. We'll see

Sweet man... glad you got it! Now you need to fab up a mounting bracket for that fairing! One of my (well Swinehart's hahha) next project will be taking my 82R Fairing mount and my 83-84R Hondaline fairing mount and see if A.) We can modify the 83-84 mount to work on a 82R or B.) Just make a complet new 82R mount. Thanks again for the info you sent me.... let me know what you need/would like in return. I can do the same for you and send you some info you might need/want.

No problem, I'm sure I'll be picking your brain in the future on this machine.

    Very nice man..... very nice.

Would you consider plastic welding that fender .. or is that a sin ?

I'm going to pelt you with a balloon filled with Holy water

    Just kidding of course.

I'll do what has held me over in the past. Buy a maier and put it on until I find a near mint or NOS fender. Then resell the maier.

I purchased one stock rear tire of ebay already (owner said there was not one chip or nick in the rims) I have to find another rear tire as well as an airbox and possibly grab bar. I'll contact Harlan about the tank decals.

Anyone know if the 83 airbox is the same?
