The unknown bolt you were messing with is actually the adjustment screw for the clutch. It does not come out. Put the nut back on there a few threads, hold it there, screw the screw to the right until slight resistance is felt then back it out 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn, hold the screw there & tighten the nut. (I'm telling you this from memory & my memory sucks, so if any of the other members have their manuals handy.....)

ummmmm... that would be for adjusting the clutch!! NOT timing!

You might want to invest in a nice lil Clymer repair manual. Not to poke fun, but that'd be a pretty high place to drain oil from! Well, unless you tipped the trike over on it's side to drain! LOL ... Get yourself a manual... best thing $$$ can buy!

Welcome to the board and thanks for the chuckles!

I had no clue what it was for. I just took a wild guess at it. I know nothing about 200X's (or engines for that matter).. as you can tell.

The middle picture is the oil drian plug, it is under the recoil, and be hind the foot peg. There will be a spring in there and a screen. Make sure you use the right metric scocket (you will stip it), it will be a tight squezz. Make sure you run the atc for 2-3 mins, to losen up the oil. Use 10w-40 oil. Ride for a week and do it again you dont want and old oil in there.

And for the breaks i will check. Does it still have the break levers. Your going to have to buy cables but thats not a big deal. If you say its empty that means you have no break pads in there. Do you know if it has the break cyclinder( its where the break pads come in to contack to) You will have to make sure the break lever, where the cable conects to on the bake housing is frozen up. Can you give us a closer pic of the thrid one with the wheel off.

And for the same i see you are missing the front cable, but if you get the back fixed you you might not need the front but the front is nice to have.

Hold on there pboivin, I just found my Clymer manual & you turn the screw counterclockwise until slight resistance is felt then turn clockwise 1/4 turn & tighten the lock nut. Told you my memory sucks. It's on page 40 & 41 of the Clymer manual. Like 350x said, get a manual if you don't have one. You won't regret it. It'll save you headaches & money in the long run.

I have taken off the filler cap and tipped one up to drain the oil out before (the drain bolt had silicone all over it so I feared it was stripped and didnt have time to mess with it). I am not recomending this by any means though . If I was you I would get a manual though, The one for your machine also covers a few other models as well. 185,200 and 200X I believe. If you ever go to a 200X then you will already have a manual for it.

Hahhaha. I did it again, just after I read that post where he said it was an S, not an X. Bleh. Oh well. I don't care. I'm used to X's, I'm tired, and I'm grumpy
