I am glad you guys set his ass straight. I am getting tired of people always bad mouthing trikes because they aren't around anymore. Cars and guns have killed way more people and they didn't ban them. Oh well just venting a little.

Airplanes, cars, boats, guns.. almost everything out there can kill a person somehow. It kind of irritates me that people seem to focus on ATV's, trikes, and guns killing people, when their sedan or hot rod out in the driveway could kill them as well.

Nobody mentioned, over on that other forum, that trikes are "no longer banned" from manufacturing anyway. Which to me is another victorious point. Verry much like the "assult rifle ban" IMO. Didn't stop the wackos form get'n em or kill'n anyone. You can relate that directly to an ATC, yet our government never ceses to amaze....

As far as I remember they were never banned the manufactures just decided to quit making them on there own. I think they were afraid that it would eventually lead to the government coming in and sticking there nose in it so they quit before Uncle Sam got involved. They just agreed to make 4 wheelers and stop making 3 wheelers. This may not be exactly what happened but if my memory serves me right this is what I think I was told.
