    Exclamation no torqe on my 84 125m HELP!!!

    hey i picked up a 1984 125m for 400 candian therew was no battery or igetion
    i got the igetion but the honda dealer messed up and i still don't have the battery well this machine has no torqe at all it won't make it up a small hill i need help it's crap if anyone can help thanks.

    You mean torque? does it seem like the clutch is slipping perhaps? It is still reving correctly right?

    Maybe you have it in 5th gear trying to go up that hill? Try downshifting..

    the engine runs fine and i have to click it into low to drive it. and if i drive it for more than five minutes then it's doesn't even really move but it runs fine.

    Clutch...........

    That little guy will wheelie with a good clutch...
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    Yea i have a 84 125m and it has no problem with hills or wheelies its a tough lil sucker,id look into the clutch.

    I second everyones opinion on the clutc. I had somewhat the same prob. you mentioned, and It runs like a million bucks...they're tough lil buggers LOL

    Just try tightening it. On most auto clutch machines you can tighten up the centrifical clutch.

    the clutch is almost tightened all the way well i'm going out now and taking it apart

    i tightened the clutch all the way witch was only like a half turn so i think the cltuch is worn like crazy

    IF it's like the 200cc series.. you should go counterclockwise until it stops.. then go in x amount to set the clearance.......... are you sure you did it correctly ?
