    Long Travel 250R

Looks like i've got everything I need to add the CR500 suspension to the 250R.

I'll get some pictures up when I get it together. I still have to get my second set of triples machined out to hold the 500 forks.

I decided to try this out after staring at the tiny looking 250R sitting beside the 500. I also wanted to see how the 250R would compare to the newer quads with equal suspension. I should end up with 12+ inches of suspension front and rear after the conversion.

Best part is, so far it was really cheap. I picked up my forks for $16.50 (that are in great shape) and just got a custom Ohlins rear shock for $50! Only expense left is the machine work.

I'll start another post when I get some pictures but i'm pretty excited about it!

Wow $50 for a rear shock! does Ohlins have a website? Sounds like you getting some steals too. How long before she is done?

Bought that shock off ebay. Seller didn't know what he had. I wouldn't have either except for I have the exact same shock on the 500. It's used, but supposedly in good shape. Doesn't really matter too much, i'll probably have it gone thru anyhow. It's actually $650 new.

I would like to have it done before the September races. But, it's taken a month for the machining on the 500 triples, so who knows.
