my x is getting spark but the spark is so weak that i can hold onto the plug and it won't bother me one bit. it won't start no matter how long i kick on it. could it be the stator?? im stumped over it i just replaced the coil. So im out of ideas. anyone else got any??

Could be the stator. My 83 had spark but would not run. Swapped stator and it runs fine. The first one metered o.k. but didn't have enough zap to run.

I've got the book that Jes took pictures of, if you need to borrow it. If you want, you can bring your X out to my house sometime and we'll take a look at it, and if we can't get it figured out, we can start swapping some parts off of mine to see whats wrong with yours. Josh seems like a pretty good guy. We live in the same town. I just met him couple weeks ago when we did some trading on some wheeler parts. I told him I'd help him out a little if he needed it. He needs to get this X running so I'll have some one else to ride along with on a wheeler that has 3 wheels!!
