thicker oil help my tranny shift?

in the dyno thread, he mentioned how great the red line oil was in shifting the tranny in his 350x. would that maybe help my shifting issue of not wanting to go into 3rd or fourth?

It might help a bit but I think it is only a band aid solution. Must be something else wrong to cause the problem in the first place.
    A whole bunch of trikes.

Like freewheel said, you may want to diagnose it little deeper first to make positively sure there are no internal mechanical failures within the transmission itself. If there is a problem there, the oil probably won't fix it unfortunately...

The Redline oil has definately helped my machine and based on my experience with it thus far, I'm very pleased with the results and I'll never go back to petroleum-based oils again.

    Hope that helps...

I use 15w/50 because of the relatively high heat an air-cooled engine must endure compared to a liquid-cooled engine.
