Well, for one; acid dippint will take all the paint away, then spray it with motor paint. Oh to get it shiny? i dont know at all. Turtle wax?! I would use oil on it. Always makes the motor shiny!

Don't use acid on anything aluminum.. it will pit and corode it like all hell..
0 00 and 000 steel wool works pretty good along with aluminum polish..
