Hey where is this Honda hall of fame located in Japan exactly? I was stationed just outside of Tokyo, Japan a few years back but wasn't really into trikes as much as I am now...would have been a good chance for me to check out that place though

Thats cool, how did Honda contact you to do restorations for them? Did they say spend whatever you need to spend to make the trike perfect? Why does Honda have a yami in their collection? Sure you can't take one person along with you? Very nice work.

Man I got alot of emails about honda, to answer a few questions, I have been working with Honda for over 2 years now . My good friend from Md works on the motocross team primarily with Ricky C before he went to suzuki , We became good friends with some high up people from R&D and they got us the contact with japan , it took a good year or more to convince them to let me build them a US90 , i dont know if anyone here has done business with the japanese but they are very meticulous in every thing they do and the biggest thing with honda is trust after i did all the paint work on the tins and frame the General manager flew out to my shop from japan to meet me in person and to look at how the US90 was coming along and from that point we became real good friends and I give them 110 % for every job and I never overcharge them because they are honda and I think they respect that , because once people hear you are building the ATC for honda the price triples , they are not stupid they now when people are taking advantage of them. they have been very good to me and my family and I hope to continue our relationship for years to come. The Honda collection hall has over 350 restored or brand new motorcycles, cars and basically everything else honda has made , they have a full floor just dedicated to racing they have almost every works bike they raced on display it is very impressive. But they also showcasr other brands as well , and they put together different exibits that highlight different themes the first of next year they are doing an exibit called kids worls it will display all types of cool bikes for kids, thats where the alt50 and tri zinger come in , i am also doing some cool mini bikes for them to display a rupp roadster and a chibi 60, You guys should visit the site go to my site www.vintagemotorsports.net there is a link to the collection hall check it out they have some real cool stuff. and yes i will put the word out to build some cool ATCs. the only hard part is I am on my own for finding everything beleive it or not Honda has nothing in japan for ATCs everything got exported here so it take alot of search time to get what i need sometimes . take care
    Mike

Have you turned them on (Honda) to the 3 wheeler sites? I think WE HAVE ALL been very good to them too!!! Don't forget about us die hards and leave us behind. Please let me know if I am mistaken.
    3 CR500R's and counting. Do I really need 4???
Do I really need 9 Tigers?
    Laegers ATC500R
DO NOT send any thing to whats his face (dirt-face/crasher) here on the board. What a scum bag. He screwed (stole) money from me and screwed me on my ME360 and Hondaline 300R engine rebuilds.

When you buy a part from Honda for one of their own restorations do they just give you the part or do you have to buy it from them and charge them for the part?

Any one remember that Honda ad on TV atleast 5 years ago, I think it was for the 400ex, and they had every honda ATV made in a line through the hills in a desert with the 400ex riding along side them. Those were some clean machines. Maybe your restorations will be featured in a ad some day.
