Practical, Funny, and maybe absolutely WRECKLESS way of doing something

This morning, i was planning on changing my oil. and after spending 1 hour trying to get the drainage plug (i think is what its called) out, and without luck. I just turned the mother over and let it all pour out with help of gravity itself. I did this for about half an hour, shake it, twirl it, and got it empty! Now i'm running clean oil! Dont know about the filter though...

, where is the oil filter on a 200s?

BTW, it is AWESOME on gas (milage)! I got it with a tad in the tank when i bought it from this guy and havent even had to add any in there since i've had it. And i already gave all the little kids in my neighborhood rides! Super super pleased.

There is an oil filter screen & spring inside the oil drain plug that you were trying to remove.

Since that motor is closely related to the 200x, it only has a screen with a bunch of holes in it. Its effective but change your oil everymonth.

EDIT: see, some people have agreed with me, at least im not blowing smoke outa my ass in this thread.

every month!! what are you doing, using the handful of sand in the top end technique? . all you have done is repeated what freewheel3 has already said.

you should be good with changing your oil every 6months. Check every month for particles in the oil(pull the dipstick after running it a put the oil on your fingers and run them together feel for rubbish in there).

I change mine one or two times a month. Oil's cheep rebuilds aren't.

EVERY 6 MONTHS????!!!!? i change mine after every ride or every 2,,,,,as said, oil is cheap rebuilds are NOT!

i usually go by how dirty it looks. If its black, i tend to change it, even if it could go on for another few weeks. As you guys said, oil is cheap. If i can find a wrench to take the drain plug out, i will clean\change the filter.

Man, i dont yet feel like making my atc beautiful yet. That just might be due to the fact that i'd rather be enjoying my new 3-wheeler, atleast for another few days or so, before seeing it in pieces on the floor. Even pretty pieces

..

lol just run er till she dies right wheeliepop, beat the shi* out of it and then get a new one?? haha no i change my oil every month or two.. regular maintenance its fun

lol just remember you can kill a honda. I dont think in the 19 years my dad has owned his quadsport he's changed his oil either, simply added oil like I do. He never had a problem (stock clutch even) but it isnt run hard. We arent even sure what the oil is HE uses but it is clean and its run in our tractors so it cant be too bad

In the tri-Z I change the oil after every 5 rides, in the 200 lol Add more after is burns it all off.

To get to the oil 'filter' you need to remove the right engine cover. The oil 'filter' is that cover right in front of the clutch with 3 10 mm bolts thats all that needs to come out. It filters the oil by centrifugal force. You also have a very fragile o'ring in there so be careful or just get a new one and change it while you are there. If that cover looks like a brake drum with the brake lining inside, you definately need to clean all that crud out of there. Then there is that little screen that everyone is talking about that is inside( supposed to be) the oil drain plug on the bottom. I don't seem to have the picture of mine anymore but heres a page: Its image 4.54 and no. 1 on pg 138. Thats all you have to remove. Oh, and don't forget to have that case gasket handy too. Hmmm the pictures seem a little big. I'll post a link.

Aww why not

? The engine thats in it is going to be taken out this winter anyway and replaced with another one so some overhauling can be done.
