I'd go with DG, because I've heard that Cobra's have shitty paint on them and.. well.. I've just heard that they aren't the greatest. I have no experience with either, but since noone has replied in 45 minutes, I figured I would. DG has a more well-known name and probably better quality than Cobra.

    Don't know about the DG pipe but I have 2 DRs, 1 w/ stock exhaust & 1 w/ a Cobra pipe.
On the bottom end there is no difference but in the higher RPMs the Cobra equipped bike will pull away in a drag race. The Cobra pipe does touch the rear mud flap & has melted it a bit, it was on the bike when I got it & maybe it wasn't mounted correctly though.
    A whole bunch of trikes.

I would try the DG (I plan on trying DG on my 200x project). My brother had a Cobra Megaphone muffeler on his 225DX and it made it alot louder. Cobra pipes also seem to rust out faster then others.

You could always buy this nice universal Super Trapp and just add a junction pipe on it to connect to header. Eventually that's what I'm going to do with my 225. Nice that you have some performance and sound adjustability on them.

I personally would go with the Cobra, Yes it is loud and does have bad paint but you can always fix the paint. DG pipes are way over priced. Try to find an old supertrap on ebay. those pipes and the Bassanis(discontinued) are the best, in my opinion.

Well for being over priced the DG comes up as being a whole $4 more then the Cobra from denniskirk and you might be able to find it cheaper somewhere else.

I have the Cobra Megaphone on my 225.I sand blasted it and painted it with Duplicolor 500 degree ceramic paint. The stock paint is cheap and comes off easy.

500 degree paint worked for you? I tried 500 degree on my SuperTrapp, and it bubbled when I started the bike up. So I had to take it off, strip it all down, and then I did it the right way and painted it with Duplicolor 1200 degree paint with ceramic.

Do you guys with those loud pipes go trail riding with them or stay on a close circut (track) course?

I just go out in the dunes with the occasional track. that is expensive for the cobra pipe. Oh, mine was used. On trail riding you need a sound buffer thing. Dang i know what it is but forgot wut its called.

Edit: You need to be at like 93 decibles or 103 i think, thats what ive been told .

    A baffle???

And trail riding for me! Although mine isn't a "loud pipe". It is a "loud pipe with the option of being quieter".
