06 Honda 450r

hahahahaha bite me...........

anyway I just sick of everybody crying about the 450r being kick start. I understand what oldschool86 is saying, but if you don't like it buy the 400ex. It's a RACING quad. Anybody consider why honda made and electric version but still kept the kick start version, just like on the CRF450R. Well I guess it's not a proublem anymore, all you guys who want to look like racers, but are to lazy to simply kick over the machine got your way!!!

You sir need to do alot of growing up. The people whom you call whiners are the consumers, there is a demand for the 450R from people who wanted electric start or it wouldn`t be in production. To say it`s being LAZY is just ignorant on your part there is a need for electric start & I`m sure it`s from alot of people who work their hind ends off all week & make up a much larger part of the new quad consumers than you`ll ever know. You need to THINK BEFORE you throw slurrs at people calling them LAZY when you haven`t a clue. I for 1 thought we had a very peaceful couple of weeks now I see the nonsence will never end. Not like I have to wake up a 5am every morning go to school and get buried in homework ,test and quizzes, then get home and mow lawns till 6pm or anything like that!!!! Hmmm, I can still manage to kick start an ATV...........wierd, anyway I also get a kick out of people telling me I should "mature", I'm not the one mocking people's screen names and behaving like a 5 year old just because I dislike somebody I've never even met, As for me calling people lazy, funny how the truth can actually offend some people. Seams like 95% of our country is people who are afraid to get their hands dirty, or god forbid show some effort and take pride in what they do.
In truth I really have nothing against ANYBODY on these forums. I've never even met them. Everybody act's the way they do for a reason, and everybody has their own set of morals. I've got mine, and by the way, they arn't changing any time soon...............

I would never in a million years tell people they are LAZY because they want electric start (you ride what is it a 250R which is half the power to kick over as a 350X) so that classifies you as a kickstart specialist. I have a 350X you`re welcome to try & kick after it`s been warmed up a bit (just be careful it doesn`t throw you off). As for disliking people I passed my opinion on you after I received your pm about your so-called mods in your R (again that`s something to laugh at as well) being able to tear up the YFZ 450 LOL. Well I`ll keep this short so you can get to mowing lawns & maybe make a dent in the 450R fund say maybe in the next 20 years or so. Have fun your LAZY friend, Jim

well 250 2strokes race 450 4strokes in motocross, plus I have a 3 wheeler so it will be lighter. and I'm not so sure a piston upgrade classidies as a "minor upgrade".


HAHAHAHAHAHA A piston is now considered a MAJOR mod again by your standards LOL

Jeese guys. I think we can drop it now and focus on how awesome this new 450r will be. I would like to see some pics of the new headlight. I am surprised that they changed that.

anyway as far as your crude humor goes, what did you do as a teenager as far as work??? And how much did you make, we'll calculate for inflation and see who is a harder worker....as for a "dent in the TRX450R, I made roughly 5 1/2 thousand this summer, with still a good month of mowing left. Hows that for a "Dent"???? Could by a used one right now, so bite me....

If you ever did any woods or fast trail riding, then oops your unlucky ass stalls the high compression monster on a quick down shifting slow down into a wicked turn, just as you ran down your buddy on his yfz. Then you would see how sweet it would be to just grab the clutch & hit that little button & she fires rite up. Meanwhile you stop & kick start your ride & your buddies are 300 yards or farther ahead of you. I'm just saying how sweet It would be, to have a bad ass honda thumper with electric start. Yeah!!!! First off I`m well beyond boy & it was never intended to be humorous. The grammar on the other hand is very HUMOROUS you need to learn to use a spell check program. HAHAHAHA I never had a job outside of working on the farm my friend that is a 24-7-365 job so I doubt you are a harder worker. The pay on the other hand well that`s a different story I worked for my dad & my pay was a roof over my head & 3 squares a day. Now I have a 5 day per week job that pays $16.85 per hour & I am at work at least 10 hours a day for those 5 days & most of the time 12. Oh & thanks for the compliment of being a boy LOL must be doing something right if I look as such at 38 LOL

You my friend are playing a game that you've scored 0 points in. Someday you will laugh that you thought 2-3hrs of work was hard. You want hard? I got up a 6am and came home no earlier then 11pm in high school. I worked a regular 40hr/week second shift job on top of a full day of school as soon as I could drive. Before that I milked before and after school and did other farm chores that all equaled about 6hrs a day.

Now I'm glad you think it's fun to keep looking like a fool but as F7firecat is saying you have a lot to learn. Congratulations on looking this silly in a thread about a new quad!

I had to laugh when I read that, cause me and a friend were riding a couple weeks ago, I was on my X, stalled it on a washed out rut that I high centered the rear end on, and it flooded (or I did it, dunno), anyway, took 15 minutes of kicking to get it running. My right leg was killing me the next day, LOL. So, YES, e-start on a thumper is sweet. Sure glad the EX is not kick.

The new R will be great, and hopefully stand up the Zuk and Yami, either way, it's still a Honda! Maybe EFI and reverse next year?

I do not feel that e start makes it any more or any less of a 'race' quad, either. It's still kick back-up, so if you don't want the e start, take the battery off and don't use it.

i could care lass abotu the efi and reverse, i just dont liek starting the 450 r sinc ei have a series of screws in my ankle thats why i have sold every cr500 kx500 and xr400 and quadzilla i have ever ownded, but i realized i can sit backwards and kick with my left foot to start the 450 beast. and it works most of the time. or park it on a hill lol but you have to think mabey some of the guys here have problems that would liek to be attended to but its a great (OPTION) to have electric start OR kick atart version witcheverone you shose its up to you!

Seen alot of flat trackers at Paducah, KY.(Sept. 10th) wishing they had elecric start. They were losing positions while kicking life back into it. (off camber hair pin turn). Love my atc kickers, but at 46, learning that electric is easier.(laziness)
