250sx fork oil ?s

Picked up a used set of forks for my SX today & I want to change the oil in them.
I ordered a manual for this bike but it hasn't arrived yet. Also did a search on here & didn't find much. What I need to know is the proper way to change the oil in them & also how much oil is required to refill them. I assume that you drain them from either the recessed allen bolt in the very bottom or the small bolt located near the bottom, correct?
What is under the cap on the top of each fork? Is there spring tension on these caps when you remove them. This is where you refill them, correct? TIA.

Careful taking those caps off, them springs will chase you across the room. Try removing the drain plug and pumping the fork, might be able to refill it through that hole upside down.??

The allen bolt at the very bottom of the forks is for disassembling the innards of the forks ,,, like if you was putting in new fork oil seals. Don't take that one out. Up about a inch on the back side of each fork leg is the drain hole for draining the oil out ( takes a 10mm wrench I beleive).
Put the forks upright in a vice and let the oil drain out ( takes awhile ).
Since the forks are not mounted and there is no pressure on them take the top cap off. It will alow the oil to drain quicker.
There will be some spring pressure towards the last threads of the cap before it comes off but nothing to you are not going to be able to handle with just palm of your hand pressure.
No need to go any farther on removing anything from the inside if all you want to do is a oil change.
When you are ready to put oil back in ,,, put the drain oil bolt back in the bottom and add your favorite fork oil weight ( I use 10wt. fork oil).
Your sx forks hold 180cc or 6.08 oz. of oil.

Like John said, only I dont even remove the forks. Just jack up the frame to take any weight off the front end before you remove those caps. The oil runs out the drain holes a lot faster once the caps are off.

Thanks for the info guys. I was a little worried about removing those top caps, didn't know what to expect for tension on them.
