    Riding in Yellowstone National Park

I was reading somewhere that you can ride ATVs on what was once the railroad tracks in Yellowstone National Park. Has anybody been on that ride? My grandson thinks he's going to get my bike someday.

Snow machines are allowed. ATV's are not. Reason is, snowmachines are in winter only and they want to put a stop to that soon.
I know, I only live 2 hours away from there, come to think of it, never have seen ATV's in the park ever during spring / summer.

Theres tracks up in Mamoth, north end again Montana, that still run so doubt that area either. The park frowns on anything like that. I grew up in Jackson WY, just south of the park, and rode the sleds up there in winter. Most amazing stuff I've ever done, well in winter anyway. I'm guessing they are trying to cut back on that type of recreation too. You had to stick to the main road areas anyway, however we snuck off a few times into the fresh stuff.
There has to be some web sites you could check that all out in with a quick "google", but if you can ride anywhere in Yellowstone its gotta be in some remote tinny part on the fringe where there ain't anything cool to see or run over.
