I have my friends yamaha DT 125 in my garage right now. and we took the carb, head, cylinder off... and need to remove the piston from the crank.. not as easy as it should be.
Gotta love clymer " Remove pin by pushint it with a wooden dowel " yeah...![]()
The top ring has a 1 inch piece missing from it.. and one of the clips are missing.. so i removed the existing clip on the left side.. and tried to get that pin out with a proper size socket.. tried to tap it but i don't want to stress the crank.
The entire bottom end was floating in gas, as the carb was leaking into it.
I need help with removing this pin.. any tips ?

not running yet. but won't be long.

. Don't go crazy, but it shouldn't hurt the crank.
