    250 Big Red question

I have know a guy who's selling one for 400 bucks. Don't know exactly what year it is, and the plastics aren't *great* but plenty usable and seat needs to be recovered as well. He said all that's wrong with it is it needs a new battery, oil changed, and gas drained and fresh put in. It's been sitting for a while, so the carb could probably use a cleaning. Is it worth 400 bucks? I might even be able to talk him down to 350.

hell yea, get it thats a damn good deal, you can still ride it without the battery, if it has a pullstart then its and 85 if it is kickstart then it is an 86,
i paid 300 for mine and all it needed was a carb cleaning, thats a really good deal, they are awesome machines too!!! load it up!!!!

All 3 years had kickstart. It's a nice bike, I'd go for it! Unless you need a specific type of tires, I'll recommend Titan HD Field Trax for the back(25x12x9) and a knobby for the front, same size. The Trax are a cheaper version of the Buckshot basically

    Grab it while you can.

I bought an 1985 Honda 250es BigRed from my aunt last year. It was just sitting in her yard collecting dust and rotting away. The only thing i had to do to it was clean the carb, put fresh fuel in it, and hotwire it with info I found in this forum. The thing runs great but is needing tires as well as your potential trike is.. I say "Grab it" ..
