    My 200x project parts bike!

    How tough is it to stick a 200s motor into a 200x frame, I bought another x for 200 bucks but the kick starter splines are stripped, how tough is that to fix????? So I was thinking about a motor swap. auto x But I'd like to know what I'm getting into to fix the kick starter. how tough is that? :?: :?:

    It is an easy switch, everything bolts right up together, simple as putting a regular X motor in.

    Well I just picked it up, I'll post pics tommrow, I guess the splines are not totally gone, it still catches It'll slip one in five, how tough are they to fix.

    A little bit of duct tape will fix anything!!!

    I been outside stripping the plastic and tank off, Its an 85 200x shock is good and front forks look good, I may just fix the engine its has awesome compression.

    To put a new or different kickstarter shaft in, the cases will have to be split. Even if your return spring breaks, you have to split the cases just to get to it. I had to split the cases on an 84 I used to have to replace my return spring that was broken. Its not real hard, but if you have never done it, it can be tricky getting everything back in right. I would definatle NOT recommend it without a book. If you take it to an ATV shop they will charge quite a bit for splitting the cases. Hope this helps!

    If you were talking about the splines where the kickstart lever slides on, then that is an easy fix. The shaft is right inside the small cover along with two gears... You pull the brake lever, cover and there are two gears and your shaft.

    Its not the outside splines, its something internal.
