    Torque

I'm putting the motor together on my YTM today and I was just going to tighten the cylinder head bolts. I checked the torque specs and they say 5.1 ft/lbs. Is this right? Seems low to me.

Please dont answer if you have never done something like this before and have no idea what your talking about, I've had a lot of that lately. Thanks! :

That seems low to me. Let me check my manual and see. I always thought around 15-20 for head bolts. Be back!

Thats right out of the Clymer manual. It also says in the torque specs under cylinder head:
    Flange Bolt (M8) 16 lbs
    Bolt (M8) 14 lbs
What bolts are those? the ones that thread into the cylinder?
I'm going to use some loctite on these bolts too, they should stay down.

Here ya go. Out of the official Yamaha service manual.

Make sure you do it in 3 intervals in a criss-cross fashion (5,10, then 16)
