can you pull the motor without taking off the swingarm??
can you pull the motor without taking off the swingarm??
Yes. The swinger isn't attached to the engine at all. All that has to be removed/disconnected is the fuel tank, intake, electrical, chain, and exhaust.
There might be someone who can do it, but I could not figure it out. With the top end still on it, I had to remove the swingarm and the linkage to get the motor out. The Clymer book doesnt tell much about removing the 83, just the older ones. After disassembling mine, I think that the 83 is quite a different animal compared to the rest of R's. Gook luck.
...and clutch cable.

I would like to know how also. As I said before, it was impossible to do in my frame and it says 83 right on the frame. Thanks.
My brother did mine when I had the jug off to have it bored. It can be done.
