Yamaha 225DX $450 Nice Shape...Should I?

I can get a susposidly 1986 225dx (but they didnt make them in 86 now did they??....lol)

Shaft Drive
Engine starts first pull
Needs batery
fenders are faded/oxidized(florida will do that lol)
Seems to be in very good continion

SHOULD I?

They did make the 1986 225 DRS 4 stoke.

i went to denniskirk and it wasnt even listed in 86 tho?!? and the one in 85 has no aftermarket fenders or anything

also i wouldnt mind having your skiy blue plastic...
i found the sky blue front fender of a 225dx for 30 shiped

It has reverse rite?
If it is yellow then you do not have a 86.
Unless somebody changed all the plastic.

its a dx i thot only dr's had reverse

im going to buy some 2000 grit sandpaper and sand it then buff it out to make it look shiny if i get it becuz damn maier doesnt make plastic for it

450 is a very fair price if it's in decent shape. Check the forks though as lots of them have bent ones. Eye them up good.

Some on this site would say slow.50 to 55 mph
I have had mine up to 60 maybe a little over.
