    ATC 70 rim options???

As the new owner of an 84 ATC 70, I got a couple questions. Mainly, are there one piece rims available that will fit the stock setup, without having to worry about clearing the (larger?) tires???? I would like to go with a polished rim or at least something a tad 'custom' looking, but stay with a 7 inch rim. Any thoughts or info is appreciated.

    TIA

Im almost positive Douglas makes some, and I know that ITP is making the holeshots in a mini size now. I seen a 70 at the races a couple months ago with new rims and the mini holeshots and it looked very very nice.

Im not sure about the bolt pattern, but trx 90 hubs/wheels might fit on it?? that would give you more choices if they would fit. At least on the rear

Probably have to call them, Their website is www.douglaswheel.com It might be a good idea to know the bolt pattern when you call them. Maybe you can check that or someone else on here can tell you. If I'm not mistaken, theres a specifications booklet on the service manuals page on the main site that might tell you the rear bolt pattern.

I do not know the bolt pattern, and cannot find it yet. I also called them and they do not have a listing for the ATC 70s, but told me to get the bolt pattern (like Billy said) so they can help me out.

If someone can advise the bolt pattern, that'd be a huge help. Thanks

Im looking through my Douglas and ITP listings and cant find anything either. I have a listing for the TRX70 in douglas for the blue labels and black labels, no reds though. Its says the trx is 3 on 100mm bolt pattern I would assume that the atc is the same but who knows..

Thanks for all the help, guys. I am still digging.

I just want to get away from the 2 piece wheels, and plus, mine need some work.

The wheels I've seen were small 8x8 rims with the 3x100mm bolt pattern, the same as the early 90/110. I don't know of any 7" rims in aluminum for the atc 70. The 8" rims use a low profile holeshot tire and the ride is kind of harsh without any suspension. If you are just putting around the yard or up and down the street the low profile tires shouldn't be too bad. Check out go kart tires if you want a tire that looks like a racing slick for the street only. If you use the stock rims, you could always get innertubes. They take some searching, but they are available. Good luck with your atc70, I know I enjoy mine. And keep your eyes open for a suspension 70. They are an absolute blast and you get a full front and rear suspension.

I'd like to do the holeshots or something like that. Just putting around is all I'd do on it until my daughter is old enough to ride it. Yes, the bolt pattern is 3/100. Just hung up on tire options now.

EDIT: Found my tires, and confirmed with Douglas that they make the wheels in 8x5, 8x6, and 8x8....just need to know WHERE I CAN GET the 8x6 rims. That's what I need!
