    Question 84 Honda ATC 70

I just bought a 84 ATC 70. The guy I bought it from was having trouble keeping the points set. Can I install an electronic ignition on this model?

Personally i think points are better, they are easy to maintain and adjust(if you know how to do it) allso they are cheaper to replace. check the screws on the points(that hold them in place)for lock washers, whithout these the screws tend to come loose.

I just bought one, too! (For my daughter......sure!). I adjusted the points on mine...uh, I mean my daughter's, this weekend. Put one of my business cards in there to gap them, and locked it down. Works perfect.

Yeah, I know. I posted a thread a couple days ago when I got it, explaining my plan. She's only 10 months old. So over the next 2 years, I'll do a slow resto and it's be a great first trike. Until then, I'll have to keep it running, you know?
