    200x questions

    well its been a while scince i have posted, i know a kid with an 85 or 86 dont know for sure, 200x it needs and exhaust, axel bearings, piston rings and probobly valve adjustment. he said 250 and it is mine, i know it runs but is it worth it?

    I think that is. If it is a 86, its a steal! I mean exhaust is about $100 ebay and a good piston set from wiseco is $100 and axle bearings arent to much i think about $30 . I would go for it all forward, but i'd watch it if i were you. These 200x's are trouble. Someway they'll get you! haha mines emptied my wallet several times, currently just did so i could buy a working ignition. You'll have a good trike on your hands.

    That is an '87 200x so no, the 200s piston is not the same. $250 would be a deal for that trike.

    so you are saying no matter what buy it, i mean i could buy it fix it resell it, for a good price, i would keep it over winter but ill see about pickin it up for sure.

    An 87!! snap that thing up, if you really want to buy it do it up and sell, but i think once you have ridden it you will want to keep it.

    87's are like chicken teeth... buy it .. fix it.. ride it.. and sell it for 4 times that much in years from now !!! GET IT !
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    ill probobly pick it up and resell after the winter, my 200s broke so i havent refixed that yet. so i need a winter bike

    my 200x drained my wallet and it "ran" when i bought it. parts are insanely rare for those, unless it ran well i wouldn't do it to try and make a profit which it sounds like * want to do. make SURE all it needs is a top end. Any shifting problems and your out some serious bux!!! and make sure the rear end isn't rusted solid or you'll go from needing new bearing to needing a complete rear end!
