200x is together with minor aches/ throttle questions

well i pieced my 200x back together, she aint that pretty... well i got a motor off of 90nut and i finally got the last pieces on tonight and fired her up for a test run...

well it started up after about 5 kicks and revved to the moon, i panicked and let off the clutch and didnt know the trike was in gear so it shot off and i rode up my cellar door and about 5-8 feet up my house and landed with my trike on top of me. minor aches and scratches but im extremely happy that it runs.

i need to find a thumb throttle assembly and a new cable and i should be mint. my question is will any thumb throttle off of a 4 wheeler work on this as long as it fits the bar??? and if i found one would the stock 200x cable work on it??

Sure you didnt put the slide in the carb in backwards? the little cutout should be facing the idle screw.

you should check and see if your throtle cable is to tight if it is not make sure that your slide is in the correct direction, i have a nice handle bar scar from when we put a slide in wrong on my ct-70

well the cable is visibly junk, i may have put the slide in backwards also.. the cable has no piece that goes on the carb top to it, the throttle wont automatically return back to idle position at all, and i hate twist throttles.

Didn't anyone else find that funny? I sure did!

    I can just picture that

    Was anyone watching?

If you had that on tape you would of won the $$ award on one of those funniest video shows.

Could you do it again and have someone video that?

Is your house brick or siding?

lol your lucky on that one. If the trike was outside it would of took off and probably hit something very hard.
