I have a 1982 250R with the 22-11-8 front tire. I have a 1986 250R with the 23-8-11. I'd like to run something more like an 8 on the front of my 82. Has anyone done this? I hear that the hub sizes of the 82 and 86 are completely different. So, what's the word?

My 82R I picked up at Trikefest this year had a custom adaptor plate made so that a later model rim/narrow tire would bolt up to the 82R hub. I have tomorrow off... I'll try to head to the farm and get some detailed pics of it for you.

Thanks for the tips and the pics. I think I can fab up that adapter pretty well to get me changed over. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a trashed 200X.

The 250R has a Hondaline Fairing.... The 350X has a Speedo and Tachometer.... custom placed in a CB400 dash. Is that what you are asking?
